FAQ

Question: What do I do if my hearing aid stops working?

Answer: Check for debris.  As you wear your hearing aids, earwax can accumulate on the microphone or other pieces of the device. If the device is not properly cleaned, the wax can muffle or even stop the sound from properly reaching your ears. Carefully clean off any excess wax or debris from your device to hear more clearly. If you have a dome on the end of your hearing aid, remove it and change the white wax filter. Most of the time this solves the issue.

Question: What Insurances do you take?

Answer: Currently we accept: AARP (UHC), Anthem, Aetna, BCBS, Devoted Health, The Health Plan, Humana, Medical Mutual, Primetime, Summacare, VSP and Wellcare.

Question: How Do Know If I Have A Hearing Loss?

Answer: Hearing loss often occurs so gradually that the individual may not be aware of a problem. In fact, it is not uncommon for a hearing loss to be first detected by a family member, who is having to speak louder or repeat themselves. Early signs of hearing loss include:

Difficulty hearing people “with low voices.”

Turning the TV or radio volume louder than other family members prefer.

Difficulty understanding speech in a background of noise, for instance in restaurants.

More difficulty hearing children and women than men.

Difficulty hearing in meetings.

Difficulty hearing at public speaking events.

Ringing in the ear(s) when no external sound is present.

Having things repeated frequently.
